Spys4Darwin's debut six-song EP, entitled Microfish was supposed to have been followed by a full-length release. The recording never materialized, but the EP remains, and is a predictable blend of Chris DeGarmo's changing guitar influences found in the 1997 Queensr˙che release Hear in the Now Frontier and the rhythmic stylings of Alice in Chains.

Highly sought-after, this EP was available only through Spys' now-defunct Web site initially, and then later through Heart's Web site (at the time, bassist Mike Inez was also playing with Heart).
